West of England Joint Green Infrastructure Strategy
The West of England Joint Green Infrastructure Strategy provides a multi-beneficial approach to strategy, policy and delivery which will contribute to: addressing inequalities in the provision of Green Infrastructure and health; achieving well designed attractive and healthy places that deliver economic benefits and community resilience and respond positivity to the climate and ecological emergency. The water environment is embedded within this strategy with both Green and Blue infrastructure included.
WECA- Climate and Ecological Strategy and Action Plan
This Strategy outlines the West of England Combined Authorities’ objectives across 5 thematic areas for combating the climate and ecological emergency by 2030. The strategy focuses on: Low Carbon Transport: Low Carbon Buildings & Places; Nature Recovery; Low Carbon Business; and Renewable Energy. The strategy details how the combined authority will deliver its objectives for 2030, the immediate actions that will be taken in 2022/23, medium-term actions and longer-term ambitions.
West of England Tree and Woodland Strategy
The Tree and Woodland Strategy sets out a long-term, generational vision for trees and woodlands across the region: ‘Better managed and connected trees and woodland making a vital contribution to a thriving natural environment, society, and economy in the West of England’.
The Strategy includes an initial five-year action plan, strategic woodland areas in the West of England, principles to guide the delivery of trees and woodland and priorities for specific land areas.
West of England Nature Partnership (WENP) Prospectus
The West of England Nature Partnership (WENP) exists to deliver more for nature’s recovery in the West of England by working in partnership on the natural environment. The WENP Prospectus is aimed at recovering nature in the West of England and aims to bring together programmes and projects in the region that would strategically contribute towards the delivering the Nature Recovery Network. These are partnership priorities for nature recovery, with other outcomes also recognised throughout the document.
Wiltshire Council Climate Strategy
The Strategy sets out the next five years of the council's journey to becoming a carbon-neutral county, the Strategy covers seven delivery themes: transport; built environment; waste; green economy; energy generation, storage and distribution; natural environment, food and farming; and carbon neutral council.
Wiltshire Council Green & Blue Infrastructure Strategy
This Strategy focuses on the natural environment and how by creating a strong, well-considered network of green and blue corridors and spaces we can support adaption and resilience to climate change, halt loss of and improve biodiversity and contribute to the health and wellbeing of our communities.
